Usually when some or all of your buttons on your iPod fail, this indicates that the clickwheel will need to be replaced. However, often the case is that the motherboard is actually the culprit, and rather than just the clickwheel needing to be replaced, the entire motherboard needs to be. So how to tell? there's not a great way to test without swapping parts, but usually as a rule of thumb, if the iPod has been damaged by water or exposed to moisture, usually the motherboard is the part that is bad. If you see any corrosion on the motherboard, it is almost always the motherboard that will need to be replaced :( User: iTronics_Repair | |||
